Mr. Steve Whitacre
President & Professor
Mr. Whitacre hails from Charleston, S.C. and grew up in Northern Virginia. A bi-vocational pastor at Sovereign Grace Church of Louisville, he is a graduate of the Sovereign Grace Pastors College and Liberty University. He received MDiv and ThM degrees from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and is working on a PhD through the University of Aberdeen/Trinity College. Mr. Whitacre has been happily married to Nicole for more than 20 years and they reside here in Pewee Valley with two sons and two daughters, three of whom are students at CCA.
Dr. Josh Blount
Professor
Mr. Blount currently resides in Franklin, West Virginia and serves on staff at Living Faith Church. Joshua received his Bachelors of Science degree in Wildlife Science from Virginia Polytechnic Institute &State University, and then went on to attend the Sovereign Grace Ministries Pastor’s College in 2008-2009. He is also a graduate (M.Div) of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and just completed his PhD studies at Westminster Theological Seminary. Josh and his wife Anna were married in April 2010 and have three children, Elliot, Katelyn, and Lauren.
Mr. Reid Williamson
Professor
Mr. Williamson is originally from Savannah, Georgia. He attended Armstrong State University in Savannah and received a B.A. in Law & Society: Social Theory and Philosophy. He also received his Masters of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and most recently graduated from Sovereign Grace Churches’ Pastors College and is a member at Sovereign Grace Church of Louisville. Mr. Williamson has recently been accepted into the ThM program at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. His hobbies include golf, jazz drums, and theology.
Mr. Josh Pannell
Professor
Josh Pannell serves as the Dean of Trinity Fellowship Pastors College in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, which he founded in 2021. He earned his undergraduate degree in Bible Exposition from Northland International University, Dunbar, Wisconsin, and a Master of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, Kentucky. He also holds a Certificate in Pastoral Ministry from The Sovereign Grace Pastors College in Louisville. Josh is currently pursuing a Master of Theology at Union School of Theology in Wales, UK, with a research focus on Pre-Enlightenment Epistemology and Hermeneutics, as well as a Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling at Westminster Theological Seminary, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
In addition to his role as Dean of Trinity Fellowship Pastors College, Josh has been an Adjunct Instructor at Evangelical Theological College in Addis Ababa since 2019 and has held teaching roles at Baptist Bible College of the Caribbean in St. Vincent and the Grenadines (2016), GraceLife Theological Seminary in Grayzohn, Liberia (2023), and Trinity College of Louisville (2023-present).
Outside of academia, Josh enjoys board games, travel, studying cultures, true crime podcasts, exercising, playing the guitar, and listening to music, particularly Jazz, Easy Listening, and Afrobeats.
Mrs. Nicole Whitacre

Mrs. Whitacre is a wife, mother, homemaker, and high school English teacher. Together with her mother, Carolyn, she is the author of several books, including Girl Talk; True Beauty; Shopping for Time; and True Feelings. Nicole and her family live in Pewee Valley, Kentucky, where her husband serves as a pastor at Sovereign Grace Church of Louisville.
